Site Visit: We are passionate about gardens. So once you have decided that you want to landscape your garden, phone or email us and we will come and see you on site and spend some time with you, FREE of charge. During this time we will identify as many of the requirements that you have, as well as what the site demands.

After our first discussion we will have a better understanding of your requiremens and will be able to suggest a way forward.

If the site work requires a garden design engender will do a portfolio that will include the design, Inspirational and descriptive pictures and complete project costing based on the clients budget.

Engender landscapes does charge for the design work and depending on the site this can range between R1500.00 up to R6000.00 with most sites charged between R1500.00 and R3000.00. Should we go ahead with implementation work half the design fee will be refunded. 

WHY DESIGN AND PLAN: 

• Having a detailed plan means that you can get like for like quotes. Many of our clients get three quotes from different companies and each does a different design. This process can take up to three weeks, only to end up with three quotes that are not comparable. So after doing all the work, you are back to square one and still not sure whether you are getting value for your money and that you are going to get a design that works.
• Having a detailed plan helps you to phase your garden by section, without duplicationg costs, which can save you far more than your investment in a landscape plan.
• Your plan comes with a full breakdown of everything you are going to need, how many plants, at what size, the amount of compost and fertilizer and even the number of pots and flag stones you will need.
• Once you have the plan, with an implementation quote (a process we recommend), you will see that we offer you great value and once you have decided to let us do the implementation, we will credit you with 50% of the design fee.

Timing: It is always tough to decide when to get the Landscaper involved. Our recommendation is that the Landscaper gets involved as soon as possible. You will be suprised at how much value we can add in the planning process. Small changes on paper can save you a lot in the long run.
